An April Wedding
We had the pleasure of flowering a beautiful wedding at the end of April, at Tall John’s House. The wall garden proved to be a perfect setting for the Milk Churns and meadows, with a backdrop of wild bluebells - a perfect picture of a Welsh country garden.
Seasonal Flowers
Every time I cast eyes on yet another online flower shop offering a “seasonal bouquet” in January — one clearly filled with blooms imported from overseas — my heart sinks right down to my mud-laden wellies. Because they are not seasonal. Well, not in the area they’re being sold.
Why is it so hard to find locally grown flowers?
If we want our wonderful fresh flower industry to flourish (which we do, for so many reasons - supporting local economies, wildlife, environmentally sustainable growing practices, and enjoying the sheer gorgeousness and scent of British blooms) then it needs to be easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.
